Blog entry What will your impact be?

12 Octubre 2010

82,992,737,250 (nearly 83 billion!) grains of rice have been earned to date. That is enough to feed more than 4.3 million people for one day!

In the past, the rice has gone to assist some of the hardest hit areas of our world. In Bangladesh it fed 27,000 refugees from Myanmar for two weeks. In Cambodia it provided take-home rations of four kilograms of rice for two months to 13,500 pregnant and nursing women. In Uganda it fed 66,000 children for a week. In Nepal it fed over 108,000 Bhutanese refugees for three days. In Bhutan it fed 41,000 children for 8 days. In Myanmar it fed 750,000 cyclone affected people for 3 days. And the list goes on.

Freerice is a simple game that is changing the world. The more you play, the bigger your impact will be, and the bigger your impact the better our world can become. So play often, pass it on to your friends and tell your teachers about it!

Freerice is great! All my friends play it and we get really competitive, which is good since the more competitive we get the more people are fed! Tell all your friends and let's try to get in the trillions! Great job to everyone that's contributed! Keep earning rice!

GO FREE RICE!!

Fri, 10/29/2010 - 23:43 narwhalls101

I love donating and helping animals and people everywhere so this gives me a good chance to do that. If you think about the totals are several billion grains of rice and if you look at just October day by day the amount has increased. The amounts know are greater than the amounts per month in 2007
