Blog entry Floods in Cambodia – how Freerice is helping

In recent weeks, Cambodia has seen floods that are the worst in a more than a decade. The floods have wreaked havoc across the country with more than 250,000 families displaced and an estimated 1.5 million Cambodians affected.

The damage done to agricultural fields will be felt for many months to come. .

Since June 2011, all rice raised on Freerice has been going to Cambodia. That means the more you play, the more people we can feed there.

I just joined today! I went to the UN the other day with my class and our tour guide told us about this website. I think it's really great that rice can get donated to Cambodia (I'm Cambodian) and other countries where there are many malnourished and starved just by playing a few games.
